Mystery Acura crossover spied on Nurburgring
October 23, 2008 by George Skentzos
It seems regardless of their performance capability, many manufacturers are keen on showing off their latest prototypes at the Nurburgring – as Honda has done here with a crossover destined for the Acura brand.
Established as a direct competitor to the BMW X6 in the US, little is known about the unnamed crossover at this point, with Honda obviously keen to keep it under wraps for now.
The car is likely to boast similar dimensions to its German counterpart as well as Nissan’s Infiniti FX35.
Little can be inferred about its styling due to the heavy camouflage, however its low roofline and large wheels suggest its design influences are more sporty rather than rugged.
Educated speculation at this point suggests this new model will likely make its public debut in early 2010.

ugh, you can see the ugly ’shield-esque’ grill under that white sheet… OH WELL! none-the-less, i like the look of the new Acuras… they have a very modern take on car design, which i love!
and im sure this will be nice, minus the grill =]
That could be anything under that baggy suit. But if the disguise is skin-tight it’s probably yet another new BMW candidate for a market segment which doesn’t exist.
This is the Honda Accord CUV under the tent. Why Honda and no other manufacturer ? Because the License plate says “OF-E 486″ OF is the city of Offenbach and Offenbach is the residence of Honda Europe North. No other manufacturer is there. Like Audi has IN (Ingolstadt), BMW with M (Munich)… You will never see an Audi eg. with another licenxe plate than IN
Sorry, I forgot: I’m from Germany so I’m familar with that cities I mentioned. And if you see a German concept with S or BB than it’s Mercedes Benz ;)
