HSV 20th Anniversary Collectables
Holden Special Vehicles has begun a new campaign to celebrate its 20th Anniversary with the release of ’20 years of the greatest HSVs from 1988-2008,’ to coincide with start of production for the new the HSV W427.
A series of twelve collector cars will be available through Coles Express, Coles, Kmart and Target, commemorating significant models in the history of HSV.
The collection begins with the very first HSV – the Group A SS VL Commodore, more commonly known as the ‘Walkinshaw’ and ends with the latest hero car – the HSV w427.
In between, highlights include the 1996 VS GTS-R, the ‘world’s fastest ute’ – a VZ Maloo and Garth Tander’s 2007 V8 Supercar winning Toll HSV Dealer Team car.
In total, over 800,000 are expected to be sold around Australia carrying a price tag of just $2.50 each or $39.99 for the dozen presented in an aluminium case.
One lucky buyer will also get their hands on a brand new HSV Clubsport R8 just by texting the unique code on the attached key tag.

they could have at least gotten a reputable model builder like “classic carlectables” or “Biante” to produce them
great concept, but its a pity the real collectors will laugh at them.
these are built for “fans” not “collectors”
im surprised the asking price doesnt come with the typical HSV premium pricing structure….
Vote:40 bucks aint bad even for hot wheels

They’re probably really hideous close-up. I shall report back after my next shopping round.

Vote:I hope that picture just makes them looks bad, otherwise I will be dissapointed.

I saw them at my local shell servo. and they are hideous…. a real shame… its all plastic, with wobbly wheels and some dont even look proportionate… they could have made these into awesome models, but pity they screwed it up big time!

I would buy them if they do look good close up. Their probably ugly and desorted close up. So there goes that thought! I’ll have a look anyway. Where do you buy them?

Duck,

MR Hunt,

OK, I’ll look at Target at them tomorrow.

Unfortunately they are not appropriate for collectors at all.
They are cheaply made, wheels fall off, and they are not even to scale.
Its a pity holden even put their name to these HSV Anniversary Collectables.
I personally wouldn’t recommend spending your hard earned cash on them at all.
