IFR Aspid 2008 London Motorshow
IFR Aspid 2008 London Motorshow
Designed by Spanish engineering consultancy firm IFR Automotive, the Aspid is, a they like to say, a technically-advanced luxury sports car’.
![]()
The Aspid is driven via the rear-wheels and consists of a 700kg aluminum and carbon structure. The power comes through a small 2-litre engine managing about 201kW naturally aspirated or around 300kW in supercharged form.
![]()
0-100 is Veyron like, achieved in just 2.8 seconds. Meanwhile it can stop from 160km/h in 3 seconds flat.
![]()
If you’re worried about the credentials of IFR, don’t be. Founder Ignacio Fernández Rodriquez has had a long history with Prodrive before moving on to the Mitsubishi World Rally Championship and eventually starting IFR in 2003.

The Aspid is expected to cost around $150,000 AUD (not including our ridiculous taxes).

Well i’ve been down to London to put my pre-order in.
It is the future - the technology is just second to none. I spoke to the guy who is the brains behind the project and believe me…this is only the beginning.
You will be so jealous! Cant help being smug!
