Considered the most stunning and extravagant Lamborghini to ever be conceived, the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento is coming to a dealer near you. Well, maybe not a ‘dealer near you’, but international reports say the car will be available to buy from selected showrooms as early as October.
Lamborghini unveiled the eye-opening hypercar at the 2010 Paris Motor Show late last year. It features an extremely lightweight body and chassis mostly comprised of carbon fibre. Tipping the scales at just 999kg, engineers obviously worked hard at getting the total weight down below the magic tonne.
Behind the driver lies a 5.2-litre V10 engine taken from the Gallardo, producing 419kW of power and 539Nm of torque. Accelerating from 0-100km/h is achieved in a mere 2.5 seconds. Its top speed is yet to be recorded, however, 300km/h-plus is an absolute certainty – it looks like it’s going 300km/h standing still.
A report from Germany’s Auto Motor und Sport revealed that Lamborghini would be releasing just 10 to 20 examples of the sharp new hypercar in October. The specific markets it will be available in is still to be confirmed.
It would be truly epic to see one of these once concept-only creations out on the street. From the four-tier rear end to that evil, masked-up face, it’s surely the most eye-catching vehicle this side of a Batmobile.
Pricing hasn’t been confirmed but somewhere above 1.9 million euro (around $2.6 million) seems to be the best bet.
