Another Nissan GT-R Totaled
March 25, 2008 by George Skentzos
Well it has happened again, another Nissan GT-R has fallen victim to an over-eager driver, this time in Malaysia.
This is the second reported GT-R to have been totaled, again featuring the stealth black paint scheme – maybe its a sign.
The following is reportedly a photo of the car in question at a meeting of the GT-R owners club in Singapore before its radical makeover, it looks so happy.

not so stealthy now
Thats a bummer!
interestingly it has really good crash protection for the occupants.
just coz you have the money to buy one does not mean you have the talent to drive one!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Legend of Ricing Hood:
A young man clad in tights who steals Nissan GT-R’s from bad drivers and gives them to the less fortunate (i.e. Australian Car Advice readers).
# What a day for a daydream…what a day for a daydreaming boy… #
Apparently black cars have a oddly higher crash rate than non black cars…
Taka,
i thought it was silver cars???
That’ll buff out, no worries.
why is this newsworthy?
so a car crashed. BFD.
so it’s a boy-racer mobile. pretty typical, I’d say.
what – is this an expensive nissan? who’d be stupid enough to spend a big wad on one of them?
oh, I see. someone who’s stupid enough not to know how to drive it properly…
Larry,
good thing we as readers have choice in what we actually read.
i mean is a little showing of the easter parade on the national news really worthy to be there either.
not every news article has to be black and white dead serious.
nvm. by opting for a gtr instead of a porsche turbo he gets a second chance.
with that said, he must be very rich to afford a gtr in malaysia. so no worries
one more example of crappy driver very very very good car.
i’d still make love to it
Btyf – Just watch where you’re sticking your little friend, the engine might still be hot.
well, they do say that malaysian drivers are the “best” drivers in the world.
I guess six piston Brembos are not powerful enough ;-)
I forgot to add comment on the last picture below that for me R34 looks meaner…but I like the roofline of the R35 better…if that makes any sense.
Frugal One,
Does being an asian has anything to do with driving a nissan GTR? or this is another deflamatory comments just like the one you did in the GTR post few months ago?
————————-
ANOTHER expert Asian driver, nothing new here.
Frankly, this car is to powerful and fast for your average punter.
Cheers
F-O
Cheers Roger, this example of your grammatical ability defies belief.
What’s the difference between deflamatory and I presume you are trying to say defamatory???
They mean the complete opposite, you tool. Here’s a website you definately need – http://www.dictionary.com
Roger -
2 x crashed GT-R’s both Asians
Ever driven around Asia [i have]i was shit scared.
NOT a racist attack, i LOVE Asian girls! :-)
Chill out brother
Cheers

Larry,
Sounds like your jealous of the people who can afford to have such a great car.
Would sir like to care what he drives that makes the GTR so pathetic in comparison?
By the way, the R34 in the other picture is porn.
Basically people from Singapore who have high performance vehicles take their cars to Malaysia to go full out. Its like South East Asian Autobahn and I’m not kidding. There is a major freeway from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur and most enthusiasts travel 200KPH++ along this stretch of road where, if not at top speed in some sections. If you get caught speeding you just pay the office 50RM and your off again and thats if they can catch you in their BMW M3’s.
So I’m not surprise if another GTR ends up at the panel beaters… By the way.. the R34 GTR has a Singaporean number plate, I assume the R35 is as well..
Is the word in the title of this article, “totaled” meaning written-off? It looks like it could be repairable.
The chassis could be beyond repair.
probably because of the type of car, if it were a family sedan it would of been able to be repaired but a vehicle like this, it can’t.
Definitely repairable, if you check the roof is in tact and it looks like the doors will open…..i’ve repaired much worse than that!! Regardless of how expensive a car is the only criteria used to write one off is the cost of the repair compared to the value of the car!!!!!
Anything can be repaired but not everything should.
I thought that Carl. This doesn’t look “totaled” as in unrepairable nether was the other black GT-R on http://www.caradvice.com.au/91.....r-crashed/ , it’s damage does not look as bad as this.
Oz, Naaa that other one doesn’t look any where near a write off either…the insurance company might have payed the guy out because it’s so new, but those cars will be repaired eventually!!!
Tom Jakovljevic Says:
“Larry,
Sounds like your jealous of the people who can afford to have such a great car.”
Tom, sounds like you are one insecure nissan driver. you poor bastard!!
“Would sir like to care what he drives that makes the GTR so pathetic in comparison?”
Sir does care what he drives. that’s why he doesn’t drive a boy-racer mobile.
“By the way, the R34 in the other picture is porn.”
if you like the look of kit cars.
Larry my good sir,
I havnt owned a Nissan since 2005.
Thanks for asking but, rather then assuming. Thankyou also for lacking the balls to admit to what you drive.
That so called rice mobile will destroy almost anything in this world under 500 grand… hope youve got a box of tissues ready because I’m sure as hell the tears will flow when you realise that.
And yes, Im blessed enough to have experienced a 35 GTR first hand…
Search out the original spy shots of the R35 in Perth on this site… :)
I have balls. They are big. I drive a Ford Falcon XR6. Nothing to be embarrassed about there. Bet you any money my XR6 will smash the GTR piece of crap.
Oh, by the way, its an XR6 turbo and fully worked up. Does 0-100 in 3.4seconds. Dyno shows 700bhp.
Money can’t buy driving skills.
Congratulations Larry, Nice way to prove your manhood by noting the horsepower your XR6 has. Of course, your extremely worked xr6 (which in order to get that horsepower figure would probably need a new larger JAPANESE aftermarket turbocharger) will completely embarrass a R35 driver who meets you at a set of traffic lights. You can drag him then go on to your plans of doing burnouts in suburbia, Way to go Larry! Do that, and stop trying to prove yourself on forums. R35FTW
Yep thn wait til larry gets to the twisties, R35 will be on the horizon in front.
i have an xr6 turbo…fully stock except for sound system. does 0-100 in 5.9 seconds (maybe less because of the sound system). dyno shows 240kw. will be upgrading to a nissan gtr the moment in hits australian shores…
I may have to call bullshit on this one, now, i don’t deny that they have been crashed, they have, but look at it, the windscreen, perfect, the wheel, perfect, the door, perfect, the side windows, perfect, the front wing, perfect.
I think you can see where i’m going with this. All these things will, not should, will, be damaged in an impact with enough force to do THAT to the front end.
Also, Larry, No Name is pretty much right, i say pretty much becuase the GT-R won’t be on the horizon, the curavature of the earth will prevent you from seeing it, it will be that far ahead.
To Larry,
You are a clown man, ofcourse your souped up xr6 700 bhp will beat a stock r35 gtr.
Can the stock xr6 turbo smash the stock r35 gtr into pieces? you are a fool trying to make you and your cheap, ugly, family, grocery go getter,20 years behind technology Found On Rubbish Dump car manly. the gtr doesn’t need 700bhp to reach 0-100 in 3.4, it only needs 480bhp. what if the gtr is soup up too, mate, have fun seen the gtr tail light fade away.
Godzilla will always be the king
