The successful Mercedes-Benz ML Class is about to get a whole lot better with the 2012 model getting closer to its official debut. Pre-production versions of the model were spotted by our photographers undergoing testing in Europe.

Wearing the least amount of camouflage than ever before, it’s now possible to see the rear side window and all the lines of the lights. We can also see all the lines and pressings on the side. The size seems to be pretty much equal to the current model.

Engine specifications are yet to be confirmed but expect to see the BluTEC diesel engine find its way into the new ML. No doubt an AMG variant will be popular with the enthusiasts as well. Sources suggest Mercedes will also introduce a hybrid variant with the new ML, but we will have to wait and see if that will be available from launch.
