Volkswagen Scirocco CGI
Last year we posted an article begging Volkswagen Australia to bring the production version of the Scirocco to Australia, they responded positively and the car is expected to make its international début before the end of the decade. But now we have a computer generated image of what the production ready Scirocco could look like.
No, it’s not a C30, the original concept car looks like this:

Thats nice, the original scirocco sold well here (Euroland) thats was reletively cheap compared to passats and golf. Problem is I can see VW will raise the price of this to silly levels for what it is and put a lot of punters off.
I also hope they manage to slot a 128Kw diesel in it for the dicerning driver.
Frugal you must sit next to the computer all evening to get the primo bit

These look great, thanks for the clip!
Looking at the footage of the car on the skidpan it appears to be FWD only to me. Although a 4motion in one of these would be a sure fire seller you’d think.

L-cat, I’m a huge admirer of the Mk1 Scirocco, which was never sold here. It still looks crisp and rakish today. I read that the concept car’s metallic green was homage to the one of the original colour choices.
Joober, the concept car dates back awhile, probably to 2006. Trends in car design tend to come to market simultaneously and this could be one of them.
