The all-new Subaru Impreza has been previewed in concept form at the Tokyo motor show.
Though recent history would suggest the concept’s sharp lines will be softened dramatically in the transition to production, Subaru is adamant that the styling of 5-Door is faithful to the next-generation small car and that the design will also translate to sedan form.
As with the Forester-teasing Viziv Future concept, the Impreza 5-Door concept showcases a tightly tapered profile covered end-to-end in chiselled, elegant character lines.
Subaru’s familiar six-point grille dominates at the front, flanked by an extra-sharp take on the manufacturer’ new hooked-LED headlight styling.
It’s touted that the all-new Impreza, underpinned by the company’s new architecture, will arrive in 2017.
