The Nissan Gripz concept car was on show at the 2015 Frankfurt motor show.
It's a quirky looking melting pot of styles. It's got a definite dash of SUV, plus the Nissan Z theme is evident throughout - let alone the obvious misspelling of Grips (z) - plus it has a bit of a rally car vibe going on.
The doors are unusual, the front are scissor doors, while the rear are suicide doors. There's no B-pillar which, if this were a real car, make it easy to climb in and out of.
There are cameras in the centre of the headlamps, presumably to film your off-road adventures, and maybe to help with parking - who knows!
Inside the seats are a distinct shape and there's plenty of pop and colour about the cabin.
With those massive wheels and it's strong lines and aggressive stance, this is one concept I can see on the road with me in the drivers seat.
Under the bonnet is the same electric engine from the Leaf EV, plus there's also a petrol engine that acts as a generator.
Nissan say the Gripz isn't a look at what might replace the Juke or the Qashqai though.
The Juke is due for its next-generation arrival in 2016, could we see a few of the design elements of the Gripz filter down into that?
