The 'fan fleet' has officially hit the streets of Melbourne.

Kia's Australian Open courtesy fleet expands for 2020, with a fresh twist: a designated "fan fleet" providing free trips for tennis fans.

The fleet, comprised of 30 new Kia Seltos compact SUVs, will be available to tennis-goers via Uber's app and will offer courtesy trips to Melbourne Park from anywhere in the CBD.

To utilise the cars, simply select the 'Fan Fleet' option in the app and wait for your Seltos to show up.

The Kia liveried Seltos are in addition to Kia's traditional Australian Open courtesy fleet of 130 cars - which is this year a mix of Sorento SUVs and Carnival MPVs, plus 10 Stingers specifically for corporate use.

The 2020 Australian Open kicks off on January 20 and runs until February 2.
