Something that doesn't happen every day, and in fact, has only happened 7 times in total, is the launch of an all-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
The S-Class badge officially started in 1972 with the launch of the W116, followed by the W126, W140, W220, W221, W222, and the new car, the W223.
Cars will arrive later this year in Australia. They are available in a long-wheelbase like this one, as well as a regular wheelbase version, and we're starting with the S450, which is the 3.0-litre inline 6 cylinder, mated to the 48-volt mild hybrid system.
The new S-Class is bigger. It's longer, it's wider, but it's actually lighter thanks to more use of aluminium in its construction. But the biggest thing here is just how much more tech the W223 has from its predecessor.
To find out just what this looks like, let's take a look inside.
