The perfect Porsche?
I know what you're thinking. How is a 718 Cayman the perfect Porsche? I mean, this is a 982, not a 992. And when you consider that when the 718 launched, it was hardly met with huge fan praise because they swapped out the traditional flat-six for a turbocharged four. Although, that's not a problem we're faced with in this car.
You see the Cayman GT4 is packing a proper Porsche power plant.
Back there is a four-litre flat-six, good for a 309 kilowatts of 414 horsepower, at a screaming 7,600 RPM. There's a chunky wall of torque too, building steadily from 3000 RPM to a peak of 420 Newton Metres at 5,000 RPM. And when you row the gears, this thing really wails.
What a beast.
