We are here with the Borgward BX7, a car from a company who hasn’t produced a car for over 50 years.
This bespoke design and platform is all done in house by the company and design studios in Germany and China.
Under the bonnet is a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine but a hybrid drivetrain is also available.
This particular car is the TS concept and is designed to rvial cars from AMG and BMW M.
It looks good but it is an unproven model, so time will tell as to its position in the market.
It is set to go on sale in China next year, with Europe following soon after. A right-hand drive version is on the cards, so we may see it on sale in Australia in the not too distant future.
