Italian sports car brand Alfa-Romeo is planning a global comeback and it starts here, with this – the Giulia Quadrifoglio.
It is the brand’s first proper halo car in decades.
Under the bonnet, it packs a powerful 2.9-litre turbocharged V6 with 380kW and a staggering 600Nm of torque.
That’s good enough for the Alfa to hit 100km an hour in just 3.9 seconds, and it has just lapped the Nurburgring in 7-minutes, 39-seconds – 9-seconds faster than a BMW M4.
It will be available in an AWD and RWD setup depending on market specification. Australia should see it on the roads in late 2016.=
