Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 teased

Volkswagen has released a teaser sketch of its upcoming Polo GTI R5, a rally version of the latest Polo GTI hot hatch. Making around 270hp (201kW), the Polo GTI R5 will become available to professional teams and drivers from the second half of 2018 to compete in various global motorsport series, including the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC).

2017 Citroen C3 WRC revealed

The 2017 Citroen C3 WRC was unveiled overnight, and it looks even wilder and more extreme than the concept unveiled in September. Citroen's 2017 WRC entrant is powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged direct-injection four-cylinder engine. Thanks to the wider turbo restrictor permitted for the upcoming season, the engine is said to develop around 283kW of power (380hp).
