Tiguan overtakes Golf as VW's top seller worldwide, facelift due next year
…
Volkswagen has announced the Tiguan SUV is now the best-selling vehicle in its lineup – overtaking the VW Golf globally last year. To celebrate the milestone, Volkswagen has released a teaser image of the styling themes of the updated Tiguan due in 2021.
There’s a new flagship Volkswagen Touareg plug-in electric (PHEV) derivative set to premiere in Geneva next month, but Australian enthusiasts will have to head to Europe if they desire one.
The Touareg R is the brand’s first R-Line model with a PHEV drivetrain, and its third PHEV in Europe. Electrified versions of the Golf and Passat already exist, while its ID family of fully electric vehicles (EVs) are also being slowly revealed.
Photographers have snapped a development vehicle believed to be the upcoming Volkswagen T-Roc R in its production form, ahead of an anticipated debut later this year.

The main changes contributing to the power bump are a massive turbocharger and upgraded fuel pump he's "shoehorned" into the engine bay. You can get the full rundown of the modifications during the video clip below.
