Hot Wheels release AMG-kitted W124 Mercedes-Benz 500E... and the line starts here

No, this isn't hard-hitting news, but if you are as ensconced in pocket-size motoring culture as many of us here at CarAdvice are, then you'll be off to raid the Woolies shelves soon after reading this! For the 2021 update of their 'Mainline' collection, Hot Wheels have added the most desirable of all W124 series Mercedes-Benz sedans: the 5.0-litre V8-powered 500E.

Porsche 911 R: 3D puzzle model revealed

Porsche have collaborated with German puzzle manufacturer Ravensburger to create a 3D jigsaw puzzle of its limited-run 911 R. The puzzle, which is a 1:18-scale model has 108 plastic pieces and comes complete with moving wheels. With only 991 produced, the ‘real’ 911 R is starting to command prices above $1 million on the second-hand market, placing it firmly out of reach for most people.

Aston Martin DB10 and Jaguar C-X75 available to buy...from Scalextric

To coincide with upcoming release of the new James Bond film, Spectre, perennial slot car maker Scalextric has announced an official licenced set. Gone are the days of generic coloured sports cars on track though, the Spectre set includes detailed versions of the not-for-sale Aston Martin DB10 and stillborn Jaguar C-X75 supercar.
