Tesla Roadster 3.0 upgrade priced at $47,000

The Telsa Roadster 3.0 upgrade has begun its slow roll out, with local owners set to pay just a little over $47,000 if they want the revised battery pack. Announced at the tail-end of 2014, the Tesla Roadster 3.0 upgrade includes a number of tweaks, including a refined aerodynamics package, new tyres, and, most importantly, a new battery pack. Designed to store around 40 percent more energy than the original 53kWh battery pack, upgraded vehicles will feature new 'R80' badges on the rump.
