Restored WRC Toyota Corolla tackles Sydney road rally - video

Remember the WRC Toyota Corolla from the late 1990s? Well,rallyfans and the like can watch the old race car compete once more. At a recent round of the Whiteline Tarmac Rally Series in New South Wales, a special example of the old rally car hit Western Sydney Dragway, Eastern Creek, to compete. This particular vehicle was built and restored by Daryl Bush, technical director for Neal Bates Motorsport. Watch the WRC Corolla in action in the video below:

Sydney is Australia's most congested city

A new report commissioned by Australia's motoring clubs has revealed Sydney is the nation's most congested city. Melbourne wasn't far behind, while Canberra came in third place. Darwin was the least congested city in the country. The study, commissioned by the Australian Automobile Association (AAA) using road metric data from HERE Technologies, analysed a handful of key routes across our capital cities. The information will be periodically updated.

NSW ‘driving towards zero’ campaign to trial in-ground traffic lights

New South Wales’ deputy premier Troy Grant and minister for roads Duncan Gay have launched a new ‘Towards Zero’ campaign aimed at combating the human element of the state’s road toll - one being distracted pedestrians. With a year-to-date road toll of 177 - up from 142 for the same period in 2015 - the NSW government is investing millions of dollars in targeted initiatives to address issues such as speeding, phone-distracted pedestrians and road signage.
