Old nameplates returning to form

There are many market trends in action this year, but one of the more novel is the resurgence - or re-emergence - of old nameplates. Running through some cars experiencing good growth is a bit like looking at a new car guide from early 2000s. In the light car segment there's the relaunched Suzuki Baleno, with 1043 incremental sales - enough for a respectable 4.3 per cent share, ahead of the Ford Fiesta and Holden Barina.

Suzuki Ignis still on wish list for Australia

The funky new Suzuki Ignis is still on the radar for a potential Australian launch, according to the company’s local arm. Andrew Moore, general manager of Suzuki Australia, told CarAdvice today that while the model is still not confirmed for our market, he’d like to see the Ignis join the brand’s SUV range alongside the current S-Cross, Vitara and Grand Vitara.
