Suzuki Baleno GLX Turbo axed

Suzuki has killed its range-topping Baleno GLX Turbo, replacing it with a naturally-aspirated model wearing the GLX badge. Where the now-defunct Turbo (above) was powered by an 82kW, 160Nm three-cylinder turbocharged engine, the new Baleno GLX will make use of the same 1.4-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine as the wider range.

2016 Suzuki Baleno teased

The Suzuki Baleno has been teased by the Japanese car maker ahead of its official debut at the Frankfurt motor show, which starts in the middle of September 2015. Among the drivetrains available in the Baleno will be Suzuki's new 1.0-litre direct-injection turbocharged engine, dubbed Boostjet. No figures for power, torque or fuel economy have been released.
