Jeep expects Australia to be world number two for Grand Cherokee Trackhawk sales

Jeep reckons Australia has a shot at being the world’s second-biggest market for the manic $134,900 (plus on-roads) Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, behind its native US. About 200 Australians have already put their money down, with the first 62 special edition models selling out in three weeks, before pricing was even announced. We do love our performance cars here, and V8 sales are proportionately enormous. Just ask brands as diverse as Holden and Mercedes-AMG (and not Greenpeace).

Announced as Pat Dougherty's successor in August, Zanlunghi quickly went about tearing down what he considered a "cute, funny" marketing campaign in the Jeep brand's "You bought a Jeep?" series of TV commercials.
