Renault obstacle-avoidance technology "as good as professional test drivers"

Renault has demonstrated its latest autonomous driving systems, including obstacle avoidance technology "as good as professional test drivers". The systems are a product of the Renault Open Innovation Lab, focused on improving active safety and autonomous driving systems within the broader 'Groupe Renault.' Based in the Silicon Valley, the lab was basing its work on research conducted by Stanford University.

Infiniti reveals world's first market-ready variable compression ratio engine

UPDATE, Nov 22, 2017: Infiniti has now confirmed this new engine will offer 200kW of power and 390Nm of torque in its base form. The engine will debut in the new QX50 SUV. Nissan’s premium arm Infiniti has released initial details of its new variable compression-turbocharged (VC-T) petrol engine, ahead of the unit’s public debut at the Paris motor show on September 29.
