F1 ace Max Verstappen beaten by Australian V8 Supercar drivers

Formula One ace Max Verstappen was beaten by a bunch of Australian V8 Supercar drivers in his debut in the All-Stars Eseries racing simulation competition last night. Although showing impressive pace in a Holden Commodore Supercar wearing Formula One-inspired livery, Verstappen couldn't quite match the leaders in the four races staged across two international circuits – England’s Silverstone and Spain’s Circuit de Catalunya – in the computer simulator iRacing.

Formula 1 cars need to really roar – Ricciardo

Australian Formula 1 star, Daniel Ricciardo, says he at least partially misses the days when F1 cars were incredibly loud and visceral, compared to today's hyper-complex electrified beasts. He even spoke favourably about having some kind of mandatory minimum noise for F1 cars.

AM-RB 001 could be first of many mid-engine Aston Martin hypercars

The AM-RB 001 being developed by Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing will likely be the first in a series of mid-engine road-legal hypercars. Marek Reichman, Aston Martin's chief creative officer, told The Drive: "Everything we do in Special Projects is in part a foretelling of something to come. We never do something and then forget it."
