Nissan has revealed the Navara Dark Sky concept at the 2018 Hannover motor show, developed in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA).
The space-themed show car is basically a "mobile astronomy lab", featuring an observatory-class telescope mounted to a bespoke off-road trailer.
In addition to the special trailer with stargazing equipment, the Navara itself has been given a makeover, which also potentially previews an forthcoming update for the popular ute.
Nissan: 1 million annual electrified sales by FY2022
Nissan has announced its plan to sell 1 million electrified vehicles per annum by the end of financial year 2022, as part of its M.O.V.E to 2022 product plan.
The company will develop eight new electric vehicles in the next four years, including a crossover inspired by the IMx concept, and a kei car specifically for the Japanese market.

Nissan has announced it will commence on-road demonstrations of autonomous vehicles on London's public roads from February.
A modified Nissan Leaf will allow government officials, along with technical and safety experts, to experience and test the technology in a real-world environment.
