Mitsubishi Australia has recalled the 2003-2008 Lancer and Lancer Evolution as part of the ongoing Takata airbag inflator scandal.
More than 35,000 vehicles are affected by the campaign, designed to rectify the like-for-like replacements fitted to those cars in 2015 as part of campaign 010093.

The three-diamond brand has begun taking orders, in Japan, for the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition.
Based on the Evolution GSR, the Final Edition features a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, which has been upgraded with sodium-filled exhaust valves. Power is delivered to the ground via a five-speed manual transmission and an all-wheel drive system.

The new-generation Mitsubishi Lancer has been delayed until 2014, around two years behind schedule.
