Porsche Taycan to get Turbo-badged flagship

A potential customer for the Porsche Taycan has revealed its naming structure, proving the company isn't quite ready to let go of internal combustion norms just yet. Alex Roy, an American journalist with a pre-order slot for the pure-electric Porsche, posted a picture of a letter from the company on Twitter, revealing the three models will be labelled Taycan, Taycan 4S and Taycan Turbo.

Porsche Taycan: Orders building for brand-first EV - report

The Porsche Taycan hasn't even been revealed in its final form yet, but orders are already coming in thick and fast. Speaking with the Autocar, managing director for Porsche UK, Alexander Pollich, confirmed order books opened earlier this month and interest has been strong. "The reaction from customers has been fantastic - from the moment we announced the car to now, when we have asked customers to register their interest for the first cars," he told the British publication.

Porsche Mission E to feature drivetrain options, over-the-air updates

Details about the production version of the Porsche Mission E have been divulged by the company's CEO, Oliver Blume. At the 2017 Geneva motor show, Blume told Auto Express that the Porsche's first dedicated EV will be sized below the Panamera, the current generation of which measures just over five metres in length.
