The next-generation Mercedes-Benz S-Class has been spotted again, this time with less camouflage and false body panels than we've seen previously.
Compared to earlier prototypes, we can now see the S-Class is wearing more production-ready components like the tail-lights and door handles.
Mercedes-Benz Australia has streamlined its new range of 2018 S-Class and Maybach variants, cutting the overall range from 12 to eight options whilst also dropping the entry price for the S-class range under $200,000 for the first time in this current generation.

It appears an even-money bet that the ultra-luxury brand Mercedes-Maybach will add an SUV to its ranks in the future, but there won't be an E-Class Maybach variant despite persistent rumours.
The only Mercedes-Maybach models currently on sale are the Mercedes-Maybach S600 and the even lengthier Pullman version, but with SUVs proving lucrative, the range is almost certain to expand to include a high-riding, long-wheelbase, ultra-luxury vehicle of that type.
