Mercedes-Benz has added the 2009-2011 E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet to the ongoing Takata campaign.
UPDATE, 21/12/18: Mercedes-Benz Australia has expanded the recall to include more 2010 and 2011 model-year E-Class Coupes and Convertibles, with the tally for those two years alone now sitting at 4103 units.
As with all Takata recalls, affected vehicles are fitted with airbag propellant that can degrade over time through a combination of heat and humidity.

Debuting in the CLS, E-Class Coupe and E-Class Cabriolet, the new powertrain comprises of a turbocharged inline-six petrol engine making 320kW of power and 520Nm of torque, augmented by a 48V electric system offering an extra 16kW and 250Nm for brief periods.
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet has been revealed ahead of its official stepping out at the 2017 Geneva motor show.
Stylistically, the E-Class convertible holds no great surprises, as it looks like an E-Class coupe with its top lopped off. There's LED headlights up front, and thin LED tail-lights at the rear.

German motoring publication, auto motor und sport, has conducted a reader's vote to find out what are the most beautiful new cars around today, and it was the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG that received the most votes.
Out of 21,000 readers taking part in the survey, plenty of them also voted for the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet, which took most beautiful 'Convertible' category. The new E-Class was noted for its open-air four seat environment whilst also exhibiting an elegant exterior design.
