In 2020, Lotus sold 48 vehicles, a decline of eight per cent compared to last year – not so surprising for a high-performance sports brand during a testing time. There's something to look forward to next year though, and it's set to arrive in Australia in mid-2021.

British sports car brand Lotus has terminated its Evija hypercar development partnership with Williams Advanced Engineering (WAE), CarAdvice can confirm.
The two British firms with rich motorsport heritage had been collaborating on what is claimed to be the world most powerful production car.
A spokesperson for the Geely-owned manufacturer told CarAdvice: "As the Evija programme enters its latter stages, Lotus has elected to bring the project in house due to delivery problems from WAE."

Lotus’s outrageous electric hypercar, the Evija, is undergoing final Department of Transport compliance for Australia ahead of deliveries beginning early next year.
The $3 million hypercar will start rolling off the production line at Lotus’s brand-new, purpose-built facility in the UK in the middle of this year, with first customer deliveries expected by the end of 2020.
