Lexus small electrified crossover taking shape, CT hatch on the outer

As expected, Lexus is odds-on to scrap the CT small hatchback and replace it with a small crossover SUV sharing some bits with the Toyota C-HR, to better capitalise on demand at the lower end of the luxury market. The CT200h is Lexus’ smallest car, and also its only vehicle sold exclusively with a petrol-electric hybrid drivetrain. Yet its global sales haven’t been spectacular, with the key US market even dropping the model for 2018.

Five stars for Ford Mondeo, Toyota Prius V and Lexus NX in ANCAP crash tests

The new Ford Mondeo, Toyota Prius V and Lexus NX have all achieved a maximum five-star safety rating from the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) following the latest round of crash tests. Each variant of every model achieved the five-star rating, meaning they also benefit from a 2015 ANCAP date stamp. The 2015 ANCAP date stamp gives buyers reassurance that the vehicles have been tested using more stringent testing methods and requirements determined by ANCAP for 2015.
