The next-generation Lexus GS has been spied undergoing testing near the Nurburgring.
While this prototype is most likely Lexus' new mid-size sedan, rumours swirled around the internet earlier this year, driven by reports out of Russia, claiming Lexus was about to give the GS the chop, with the front-wheel drive ES stepping up to take its place in the range.
The 2016 Lexus GS200t has been unveiled at the Pebble Beach Concours d' Elegance, with the new turbocharged 2.0-litre base model set to arrive in Australia from December 2015.
As is the case with the IS200t mid-size sedan, NX200t medium SUV and the larger, all-new RX200t, the GS200t will form the basis for the model line, replacing the GS250 with its 2.5-litre petrol V6 engine.
