Daniel Ricciardo discusses his future, more events stripped from F1 calendar

Australian F1 star Daniel Ricciardo has spoken about his future in the sport, following news that another three events have been removed from the 2020 calendar. Prior to his signing with McLaren for the 2021 season, Ricciardo spoke with UK publication AutoCar about his future in Formula One and how he still believes he can finish on top.

Mercedes-Benz has celebrated its 701-point 2014 Formula 1 constructors' championship win with a pair of special edition SL63 AMG roadsters. Both Mercedes-Benz drivers, Nico Rosberg and 2014 F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton, had input in the development of the cars. Called the World Championship 2014 Collectors Edition, the cars are mechanically identical to the standard 436kW/900Nm SL63 AMG.

Jenson Button drives McLaren P1 at F1 car launch

The upcoming McLaren P1 supercar has made a brief appearance at the English brand's launch event for its 2013 Formula One car, driven by the team's number one driver Jenson Button. The 2009 F1 World Champion got behind the wheel of the McLaren P1 – recently spotted continuing its development – for a drive around the McLaren Technology Centre in Surrey, while his new Vodafone McLaren Mercedes teammate, Sergio Perez, steered a McLaren MP4-12C Spider.

Lewis Hamilton almost quit F1 in 2009

Lewis Hamilton has told UK magazine Autocar that he was close to quitting Formula One after being accused of misleading stewards at last year’s Australian Grand Prix. McLaren’s David Ryan lost his job and the team received a suspended three-race ban when race stewards challenged evidence Ryan and Hamilton gave them after the Briton swapped places with Toyota’s Jarno Trulli under a safety car period.
