Kia Cerato sales levels "not acceptable", says COO

Kia Australia’s recently appointed chief operating officer Damien Meredith says the company is about to embark on a big push to boost what it considers unacceptably low sales of the Cerato small car. Expanding on Kia’s ambitious plan to almost double its market share in Australia to five per cent before the end of the decade, Mr Meredith singled out the under-performing, 15-month-old Cerato sedan and hatch, as well as the Koup derivative, as the key to making the dream a reality.

Kia Cerato: teaser campaign continues

Official teaser images of the third-generation Kia Cerato have been revealed showing the rear end of the car and hinting at the front end and profile. The four images, superimposed with Facebook profile pictures, were posted on the Kia’s Facebook page and join the official Kia Cerato sketches released earlier this week. While there are definite design similaities between the two, in terms of the overall silhouette, the production car will be tamer and less-raked than the sleek car penned.
