2021 Jaguar new cars

Jaguar didn't have a stellar year in terms of sales in 2020, but hopefully a refresh of some key models will change that in 2021. The mid-sized Jaguar XE and large XF sedans will both receive a facelift, as will the brand's top-selling model, the E-Pace SUV. Performance fans will see an update to the powerhouse F-Pace SVR SUV in Q2, joining a facelifted version of the standard F-Pace, though timing for the latter has yet to be confirmed.

2021 Jaguar F-Type to debut on 2 December

Jaguar has released a teaser video of the upcoming, revised F-Type coupe and convertible, set to be revealed on 2 December. There’s not much to see in the six-second video – the only part of the car visible is the gauge cluster – but you can hear the intoxicating sound of the F-Type’s V8 engine. That indicates the thunderous, supercharged 5.0-litre V8 will continue. In R guise, the V8 produces 405kW and 680Nm while the range-topping SVR ekes out an additional 18kW and 20Nm.

2021 Jaguar F-Type could go electric - report

The next-generation Jaguar F-Type could become a two-seat, all-electric sports car to rival the upcoming Tesla Roadster. Autocar understands Jaguar is evaluating whether the next F-Type should be designed as a pure-electric vehicle. Under the electric-only proposal, the company's designers would have scope to recall the proportions of the venerated E-Type – and the plan would fit with discussions around turning Jaguar into an all-electric marque.

Jaguar F-Type SVR and XJR575 join Ring Taxi fleet

Jaguar has added an F-Type SVR and XJR575 to the 'Ring Taxi' fleet, giving fans of the brand a chance to lap the legendary Nurburgring North Loop with a race driver behind the wheel. The cars themselves are standard, which means the F-Type SVR makes 420kW of power and 700Nm of torque from a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine. It'll hit 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds from standstill.
