2021 Hyundai Palisade price and specs: Flagship SUV arrives

The 2021 Hyundai Palisade is due to land in Australia in the new year, positioned as a large SUV with more agreeable on-road driving dynamics and the convenience of up to eight seats. Hyundai will give buyers the choice of two trim levels: the eight-seater Palisade (no badge), priced from $60,000 plus on-road costs, and the range-topping Palisade Highlander, available with either seven or eight seats and priced from $71,000 plus on-road costs.

Hyundai’s new model roll-out: 11 cars in 11 months

Hyundai plans to introduce 11 new or updated models in the next 11 months – its biggest product blitz since the brand was established in Australia in 1986. The massive new-model roll-out is designed to reverse a four-and-a-half year sales slide, the biggest slump for the brand since the Global Financial Crisis a decade ago. The cavalcade of cars will start with one of the most advanced vehicles on the road, although it will be sold in relatively small numbers.

Hyundai USA to make rear-seat reminder standard from 2022

Hyundai will fit 'rear occupant alerts' as standard across its North American range from 2022 onwards, as it looks to cut the number of kids left in hot cars. The announcement was made on National Heatstroke Awareness Day in the USA, and follows a similar move from Nissan. Debuted in the Santa Fe, the rear-seat reminder system knows whether the back doors were opened before the car was started, and reminds the driver to check the rear seats when the car is turned off again.

2019 Kia Telluride photographed undisguised

The new Kia Telluride crossover has been spotted completely undisguised while undergoing testing the Middle East. Thanks to CarAdvice reader Ryan for pointing us towards these photos, which were posted on the Bobaedream forums. The production Telluride carries over many of the design cues used on the 2016 concept car, including the boxy rectangular shape, rounded corners and surfacing – all of which serve to emphasise the car's size.
