EXCLUSIVE: Brabham Automotive confirms all-new Australian-built supercar for the road

EXCLUSIVE Car manufacturing is set to return to Australia with one of the most iconic names in motorsport. A top-secret road-going supercar – to rival the likes of Ferrari, McLaren, and Lamborghini – is currently being developed by local manufacturer Brabham Automotive. “We will be releasing a new road vehicle ... [and] our intention is for that vehicle to be built in Australia," the company's CEO, Dan Marks, revealed to CarAdvice.

Toyota GR Super Sport buyers interrogated for hypercar eligibility

Prospective buyers for the Toyota GR Super Sport – the Japanese company's first road-going hypercar available to the public – will need to prove they're worthy. A form posted on the Toyota Japan website has asked potential buyers to list how many high-performance sports cars they currently own, as well as asking them to list their Top 10 favourites.

The long-awaited Mercedes-AMG One hypercar – which will reportedly be driven by a modified Formula One hybrid power unit – has been teased in a new YouTube video. The 43 second clip gives the best insight yet into the vehicle’s complex active aerodynamic package. The interior is also shown off, and we catch a glimpse of a car's substantial centre-mounted infotainment screen and digital cluster behind the steering wheel. Rimac to destroy $31.2 million worth of cars all in the name of safety

Croatian hypercar manufacturer, Rimac Automobili, is undertaking a rigorous and expensive crash-test program for its all-electric C_Two hypercar ahead of its production run commencing in 2021. In all, Rimac is building 13 prototypes and five pre-production examples of its 415km/h all-electric hypercar, with plans to destroy 11 of them in order to homologate the C_Two globally.

Alieno Arcanum – Bulgarian company 'confirms' 3850kW hypercar

Alieno – a near-unheard-of technology company based in the tiny Bulgarian village of Slashten – claims it is set to launch a 3840kW/8880Nm electric hypercar named the Arcanum. What’s more, the company is now taking preorders for the vehicle and says cars can be delivered in as little as 18 months.
