The upcoming electric Lotus Evija will sound like a 1960s V8 Formula One car, according to new reports out of Europe.
Patrick Jordan-Patrikios – a music producer who has worked with Britney Spears and Susan Boyle, among others – was reportedly recruited by Lotus to develop “distinctive” and “organic” sounds for the otherwise-silent hypercar.

The long-awaited Mercedes-AMG One hypercar – which will reportedly be driven by a modified Formula One hybrid power unit – has been teased in a new YouTube video.
The 43 second clip gives the best insight yet into the vehicle’s complex active aerodynamic package.
The interior is also shown off, and we catch a glimpse of a car's substantial centre-mounted infotainment screen and digital cluster behind the steering wheel.

UPDATE, December 23, 2020: After a multitude of spy sightings and patent leaks, the McLaren Sabre has been revealed in full.
Powering the limited-run hypercar is a version of McLaren's venerable twin-turbocharged V8 engine (of unknown capacity) developing 615kW of power and 800Nm of torque – the most powerful, non-hybrid version of the mill offered in a McLaren to date.
The British brand claims a top speed of 351km/h, second in the line-up only to the slippery, three-seater Speedtail.

Jaguar may be secretly developing a new hypercar.
Images have emerged on the 7th Mustang internet forum, showing patent drawings for an unknown hypercar design, filed by Jaguar Land Rover.
The illustrations show more than a passing resemblance to the iconic Jaguar XJ220 and stillborn Jaguar C-X75, suggesting the British brand may be secretly developing a vehicle to compete with the Mercedes-AMG One and Aston Martin Valkyrie.
