Ford Mustang confirmed for Supercars series, Ford Performance hits Australia

Ford has announced the launch of Ford Performance sub-brand in Australia, backed by the news the 2018 Mustang will be homologated for the 2019 Supercars season. The first Ford Performance-branded models to touch Australian soil will be the 2018 Mustang and hotly-anticipated Ranger Raptor. The company says its performance arm is focused on "developments in aerodynamics, light-weighting, electronics, powertrain performance and fuel efficiency".

ACCC to sue Ford over PowerShift conduct, Ford "strongly refutes" allegations - UPDATE

The Australian Consumer and Competition Commission (ACCC) has started proceedings against Ford Australia in the Federal Court of Australia, over long-running concerns regarding the company's PowerShift automatic transmission fitted to variants of the Ford Focus, Fiesta and EcoSport sold between 2011 and 2016.

Ford Edge large SUV confirmed for Australia, but not until 2018

Ford Australia has provided clarity around its post-Territory future by confirming it will launch a new large SUV “based on” the global Ford Edge. However, the transition between the Australian-made Territory, production of which ends on October 7, and the arrival of the (likely) Canadian-made Edge will not be as smooth as many would have guessed.
