Fiat Panda gets zero-star Euro NCAP safety rating

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has been dealt another blow in the latest round of Euro NCAP crash tests, with the 2018 Fiat Panda failing to score even a one-star rating. Last tested in 2011, the third-generation Panda lacks any form of active safety equipment – with seatbelt reminders the only feature to score points in the area Safety Assist.

Fiat Panda, Punto and 500 prices change as part of Italian city car shuffle

Driveaway prices for the entry-level versions of the Fiat Panda, Punto and 500 city cars have been shuffled as part of a range re-think. Until recently the stylish Fiat 500 hatch was the starting point in the range, priced from $14,000 driveaway, with the Punto ($16,000 driveaway) sitting between it and the Panda ($16,500). However, the Italian company's local arm has now realigned those three models to reflect their global positioning.

Fiat Punto in full flight

I wrote a little bit a while ago about the Fiat Punto and while I still haven't seen a single Punto on the road, I have seen enough ads for it. Perhaps the waiting list is a few months long? Either way, I really like the Punto, its Italian made, it comes with heaps of standard features, and it even looks good!
