The 2021 Citroen C5 has been teased, ahead of its unveiling on April 12.
The vehicle – which spy shots and teasers suggest will take the form of a high-riding, SUV-inspired liftback – is expected to be underpinned by the Stellantis group's EMP2 platform, currently shared with Peugeot, DS and a range of other brands.
Petrol, diesel, and hybrid powertrain options are also likely, with the 1.6-litre petrol and 2.0-litre diesel offerings from the Peugeot 5008 slated to carry over.
Peugeot 308: Rumours of German and UK production not true - UPDATE
The PSA Group, parent to brands including Peugeot, Citroen and Opel, could shake up its production schedule, starting with the next-generation Peugeot 308.
UPDATE, 15/5/19: Automotive News Europe has published a new article this morning quoting a PSA spokesperson shutting down rumours of Peugeot 308 production outside of France.
"There is no plan to produce the 308 in Germany or in the UK," the spokesperson told the publication.
"We will advise on the production site when appropriate."
The new and properly 'SUVified' 2018 Peugeot 5008 range is now officially on sale in Australia, after first been detailed for our market in November last year. We first drove the new model in Europe, earlier in 2017.
Buyers of the new 5008 are offered a choice of three trim levels; Allure, GT Line and GT, each with a high level of standard equipment for the class while also featuring seven seats as standard.
