Audi decides to keep Ducati

Audi has ditched plans to sell Ducati, electing instead to keep the motorcycle division. Rupert Stadler, CEO of Audi, confirmed to Reuters and other news outlets: "I can assure you that Ducati belongs to the Audi family. Ducati is the perfect implementation of our premium philosophy in the world of motorbikes."

Volkswagen Group won't sell brands to cover Dieselgate costs

The chairman of the Volkswagen Group has denied the company is planning to sell off some of its brands to help pay for costs related to the Dieselgate emissions cheating saga. According to Reuters, Hans Dieter Poetsch, chairman of Volkswagen's supervisory board, has told Boersen-Zeitung that the company is "not thinking of selling parts of our brands".

Volkswagen to cease buying frenzy, focus on existing brands: report

The Volkswagen Group is set to prioritise the development of its current 12 brands before it considers purchasing any more manufacturers, according to reports. Bloomberg reports Europe's largest car maker, the ever-expanding Volkswagen Group, intends to focus on the integration of its recent purchases of Porsche, Ducati and heavy-truck maker MAN, with Volkswagen Group CEO Martin Winterkorn saying the group’s current brands are its focus.
