Citroën here to stay, despite selling fewer cars than Ferrari: New C4 confirmed

Peugeot Citroën Australia, local distributor of Citroën products, has committed to the brand in our market. The commitment comes as its diminutive sales figure continues to slide in 2020. As of September, only 139 Citroëns have been reportedly been sold. That figure is down 184 cars from the same time last year, which represents a decrease of -57 per cent year-to-date. As a comparison, sports car manufacturer Ferrari has reportedly sold 158 examples in the same timeframe.

Citroen C4 Cactus to get the axe - report

The quirky Citroen C4 Cactus has won many fans globally with its polarising design and funky personalisation options, but it looks like the French carmaker won’t be renewing it for another generation. Speaking with the UK’s Top Gear, Citroen’s product boss, Xavier Peugeot, said: “For the time being this car is our C-segment hatch offer. Our next C-segment car to come will replace the C4 Cactus. This will be the end of the Cactus. For the name, I don’t know yet, but for the car, yes”.

2011-15 Citroen C4, DS4 recalled for bonnet fix

Citroen has issued a recall for its 2011 to 2015 C4 and DS4 hatchbacks over concerns a faulty bonnet support wire could cause it to fly open while driving. The French manufacturer reports the striker wire on the bonnet report may not work as intended due to corrosion. If the condition occur, the bonnet could release without warning and fly open during driving, posing a significant hazard to the driver and other road users. Above: Citroen DS4, Top: Citroen C4
