Lancia back Down Under says CEO, Chrysler Australia tight-lipped
…
Chrysler and Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne says Lancia cars will be sold in Australia badged as Chryslers, according to automotive industry journal GoAuto.
Mr Marchionne told GoAuto the global plan to expand the Chrysler range with Lancias and other Fiat Group vehicles included Australia.
Despite there currently being no right-hand drive Lancia models, Mr Marchionne is reportedly interested in expanding into the right-hand drive UK market and combining the two brands throughout the world.
For those who are sick of buying Holden Statesmen and Ford Fairlanes, the Chrysler 300C has proved a very popular hit, as more and more of the beasts hit the road in Australia - its obvious that the last year has been good times for Chrysler in Australia. Having learnt from the 300C, and the Crossfire, Chrysler has decided to bring the Sebring to Australia in mid 2007.
Yes I know, its not as beautiful as the 300c or the Crossfire.
