Mercedes-Benz: We operate as a software company

Mercedes-Benz says it has changed its operating rhythm to operate more as a flexible software company rather than a traditional hardware company in order to better deal with the requirements of a digitally connected car going into the future. Speaking to CarAdvice at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the member of the board and head of group R&D at Mercedes-Benz, Ola Kallenius, confirmed the company’s directional change.

Mercedes-Benz launches new MBUX infotainment with new A-Class

In Las Vegas for the massive Consumer Electronics Show (CES), CarAdvice today had a taste of Mercedes-Benz's all-new smartphone-style operating system - MBUX - in, of all vehicles, the upcoming A-Class. You'd expect such clever, high-end technology to debut in something far more exotic such as a new S-Class, but according to the German Manufacturer, the all-new A-Class is the perfect platform to showcase the technology.
