British luxury car maker Bentley has issued a global recall for its Bentayga SUV for a potential fire hazard due to a leak in the vehicles’ fuel system, with 102 Australian examples included.
With the Bentley Mulsanne having effectively retired, the big question is what, if anything, the British luxury maker intends to put in its place. Which is the one we asked CEO Adrian Hallmark in a recent telephone interview.
It’s no surprise to learn there definitely won’t be another saloon in the space vacated by the Mulsanne.

The Audi Q8 may have just launched to sit at the pinnacle of the brand's SUV tree, but there could be a new king of Audi 'Qs' should the market demand it – according to a new report out of the UK.

Rhys Millen and Bentley are preparing to chase the production SUV record up the fearsome Pikes Peak hillclimb in a Bentayga prepared by Bentley Motorsport. Nope, we aren't pulling your leg.
The current SUV record on the famed strip of Colorado blacktop – formerly gravel, alas no longer – is 12:53.61, which means Millen and his hotted-up barge will need to average at least 60mph (97km/h) on the 156-corner course.
