2020 Toyota C-HR EV announced for China

Toyota has confirmed it will launch an electric C-HR in the Chinese market in 2020 at the Beijing motor show. As reported by Autocar, the Japanese manufacturer announced three new electrified models it will be bringing to China in the coming years, including plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions of the Corolla and Levin sedans due next year, in addition to the all-electric C-HR.

MG X-Motion concept unveiled

The MG X-Motion concept has been given a full debut at the 2018 Beijing motor show. Stylistically, the concept takes themes established by last year's E-Motion electric coupe and scales them to suit a crossover. Up front, the X-Motion features a fascia heavily inspired by Mazda, while the "stellar field" grille insert calls to mind a number of Mercedes-Benz models. There's also more than a hint of Infiniti in the profile and headlights.

Mercedes-Maybach concept teased ahead of Beijing

Mercedes-Benz has published a teaser for a luxurious new concept car headed to the Beijing motor show later this month. Posted to the company's global Facebook page, the 22-second clip captioned "luxury at its finest" shows the interior of a Maybach-branded car with futuristic cabin styling elements. Catering to the tastes of the Chinese market, there's lashings of chrome and rose gold throughout the cockpit, though it's not entirely clear what form this vehicle will take.
