Pope's Lamborghini sells for $1.1 million

A Lamborghini Huracan RWD coupe gifted to Pope Francis has been sold at auction for €715,000 ($1.1 million). Lamborghini gave Pope Francis a specially decked-out Huracan RWD in November 2017, with a unique exterior treatment based on the Vatican City's flag, and gold-on-white stripes. The pontiff's "permanent autograph" also adorns this one-off supercar. Over the weekend, the car was auctioned off by RM Sotheby's at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.

It marks a new world record for an early motor car sold at auction.
