Aston Martin Rapide S launched

The new Aston Martin Rapide S launched in trademark flamboyant style this week in Spain's Catalonian region, heralding both a new look for the four-door grand tourer and a considerably more focused revision of Aston's most luxurious model. While the new ‘gaping’ one-piece grille clearly dominates the facelift, it's what's under the bonnet of the new Rapide S that demands the most attention. The ‘S’ on the nameplate stands for Sport and it signifies a big boost in power for the new Rapide.

Aston Martin Rapide S: hotter Panamera S rival coming

The Aston Martin Rapide S has been spied near the Nurburgring in Germany as the UK-based luxury sports car maker prepares a hotter version of its flagship ‘four-door coupe’ for showrooms. CarAdvice’s spy photographers first captured this pale blue Rapide prototype at the ’Ring more than 12 months ago although its fine-tuning is believed to have taken a backseat to the development of the new Aston Martin Vanquish sports car.
