2016 Ford Ranger Wildtrak 3.2 (4×4) Review
Since November 2015 purchase, the Wildtrak has been reliable up to this stage only done 2900km, rides well, and steering is great. I find trying to locate key into ignition at night is difficult no light. Fuel consumption is ok but not as good as my 2015 Colorado.
I would like to see bigger wheels 19 inch and rubber flares on guards plus a tray on Wildtrak models. I would also like to see more cup holders like the Colorado.
I like the range of colours but not the extra price for upmarket colours.
I find the engine noisy especially when cold and at higher engine revs, pulling power is great even with camper trailer loaded. Mine is fitted with tech pack, a bit confusing till one gets used to it.
I feel seeing as this is a off road ute we should be able to have rubber floor mats as cleaning mud from carpets is time consuming and messy.
I find the roller door on back tub jams when ute is facing up hill and sales people did not know how to work it at dealership.
Reverse camera is great and park assist front and rear is a great addition especially up front, inside comfort is great also especially in Wildtrak.
Overall, I feel this is a great ute and am looking forward to the new model.
I do not like having to change oil within the 10 min period I have also been told of this aspect from mechanics working in the trade.
- style, power, comfort, steering
- noisy motor, cup holders, small wheels, oil change within 10 minutes
Regards Errol.
