2016 BMW X3 xDrive 20i Review
We purchased a 2016 BMW X3 in September, after waiting 3 months from ordering the car to delivery. The process of tracking your shipping was equally exciting, and believe me, it was worth the wait.
- Interior Design, Fuel efficiency, Responsiveness in tough driving terrain.
- Storage compartment in front.
You get a sense of euphoria when you look at the car, whether it's interior or exterior, you can see it's been beautifully crafted. The fine leather interior, the arrangement of dashboard and the sturdy, sleek-looking exterior design sums it all up.
My vehicle comes with M Sports variation and it provides a feeling like driving a family car with sports features. The engine is very responsive in Sports Mode, equally efficient in ECO PRO mode for dull driving, and comfortable in Comfort mode for normal city driving. Driving on a freeway was more enjoyable than in the city due to nasty start-stop engine feature, though there might be some fuel savings with that kind of arrangement.
The Steptronic transmission will entice you to explore the inner sports car driver in you when playing around with the paddle shifters (do not speed though). Features like the Head-Up Display puts the driving experience ahead of its competitors. The iDrive 5 comes with a well laid out UI design and equally better navigation system.
With Bimmers you get satisfaction and performance, but they do come at a cost. I would have expected that a BMW would come with damping controls, lane changing warning and adaptive cruise as a standard rather than as an optional accessory.
I would love to see a Hybrid version for X3, same as the X5, which would make the X3 more attractive.
